Thanks for the speedy response. This is legacy code so it was easier for me to fix the source code. In the end I went through it with a fine tooth comb and found the issue.
There was a spin body with a DELETE query. However, for sp:graphNameNode "ui:addedGraph" was chosen. I changed it to "projectGraph" and that solved the issue. I am not sure why this completely disabled the spin body from the form view, when it was actually there in the source code.
