Hi Sébastien

Thanks for your response.

I can see your decision. But in my opinion it has some draft back that
some aspects of a model can not be shown. I did not find a way to draw a
diagram in the manner as you can find one in the attachment. The diagram
comes from the UML 2.1.1 specification

A way to show a class and its composite structure would be very nice. I
loved the way of using composite structure diagrams on packages to do
so. Another possibility would be to not distinct between class diagrams
and composite structure diagrams. That’s how a lot of other tools
work. The advantage is to have one diagram only to be able to show
compositions on class and package level. The disadvantage is that this
does not correspond in all details to the UML specification. But not
having composite structure diagrams on packages isn’t really
conforming to the specification as well.

My remarks should more be constructive inputs or a feature request than
criticism. I really like Topcased’s UML Editor. And one of its
strength is to really respect the UML specification.

Best regards

Hi,

Actually, since some months we have decided to propose to create
Composite Structure only from a Class object.
Before, there were two kinds of approaches : from package or from
classifier. Finally, we decided to retain only one for maintenance
reason.
Regards,

Sebastien
