There is an action that let you to export all diagrams as images. Select the *.umldi file in the explorer view, "right click > Export all diagrams..." However there is no simple way to achieve this task in a headless mode (without opening the editor), and I guess this is probably the reason of your question.
Concerning Topcased API, if you have installed the SDK feature, you can have access to the API through Eclipse Help contents.
