Hi,
I download the topcased2.1, tutorials and examples from the site and it seems
good (I get the popup).
Confirmed.
1) Did you get the topcased or did you packaged it by yourself?
Don't know what you mean exactly with "packaged", but I installed it using the
update site (see below)---and using the bookmarks file for necessary sites as detailed in
the installation manual), so not using an RCP bundle.
2) Problem in eclipse plugins aren't show in "${workspace}/.metadata/.log"
you have to open the erro log view : Window>Show View> Error Log.
Nothing is shown there either.
3) The only difference between SAM and UML is the M2M (model to model)
technologies, SAM use smartQvt ant UML use ATL and smartQvt. If you packaged
you eclipse by yourself maybe you miss the Atl dependencies.
I followed the installation instructions of topcased 2.1 using the update site. However, it seems indeed that ATL is not installed :-(
[naive question]
Shouldn't there be a dependency on ATL then, so this is installed automagically?
[/naive question]
3) On which OS dis you test, what version and windows and linux?
Probably no longer relevant, but:
- Windows XP Professional SP3
- The linux pc is a Debian testing machine.
Hope it help
It did, thanks!

Hi,
I was trying out the model simulation feature in topcased 2.1 and therefore
following the tutorial
TPC_WP2_ModelSimulation_UMLTutorial-FlashingsLights-MultiInstance_6_v1.0.pdf.
When I right click on the model file, I *do* get an item that says
"Simulate", but the window where I can set the simulation parameters (ie.
the window on slide 5 of the tutorial) doesn't appear.
Other symptoms:
- I tried it both on a windows and linux installation (both have the
topcased packages installed via the update site), but that doesn't seem to
make any difference.
- Creating a UML model with a state machine myself doesn't help.
- However, when I create a SAM model, the "simulation parameter" window
*does* appear.
- Nothing is printed to ${workspace}/.metadata/.log
Any clues on the fastest way to debug this?
thx,
Klaas
