I tried to import an xmi file from topcased into bouml and it was ok.

As far as I have understood, XMI is the native format of Topcased. When you 
create a model, 
you get two files : 

Mymodel.uml which contains the XMI description of your model 
Mymodel.umldi which contains the graphical informations (DI2 format) 

So, you don't need any XMI export! 

For project's members : I hope I didn't write anything wrong! The choice 
of XMI as native format is a great idea and should be, IMHO, quoted on 
the portal www.topcased.org
