you are right. According to the UML Specification : "A component is a
subtype of Class [...], and being able to participate in Associations
and Generalizations".
Actually, this is not implemented in Topcased 2.4
You should open a feature in the Topcased tracker.
The behaviour already exists in the UML model, but the graphical UML
editor doesn't have it.
So you will have to wait for this feature to be implemented by the
Topcased team in the graphical editor.
