Aparna,
Please, use the users mailing list, as you did for your last request :
you will have more chance to get a faster response.
Here are some comments :
1. I am not sure BridgePoint is natively using UML2 XMI format (Not
even referenced here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UML_tools),
however there is probably a way to "export" your diagrams into UML2
format (see http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/?project=uml2 for more
details)
2. You should be able to find a good tutorial on the EMF documentation
area (http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/docs/) and you will probably
be happy to know that a project let you create Ecore models in a
graphical way
(http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emft/?project=ecoretools#ecoretools)
;-)

Jacques

Hello,
Thank you for the reply for my previous doubt. I have one more
clarification to make since I am completely new to EMF. I am currently
pursuing my Masters and this is as a part of my Master thesis.
1) I am using Bridgepoint tool for modeling. So I have class
diagrams created there. Could you please tell me if there is any way to
import those to generate ecore models. I find the option only to import
class diagrams created in Rational Rose. I am using eclipse 3.2
2) If the above method is not feasible, could you please send me
a tutorial on how to create a simple new emf model. I tried out with
tutorials avaliable, but I am getting a null pointer exception when
trying to generate ecore model. I am not sure whether I am giving the
relationships between classes in proper way.
Could you please help me with this.
Thanks and Regards,
Aparna
