Hi Dragos,

You right, you can't add a new site with Topcased 3.0 platform whereas it is available on Eclipse 3.5.
We've analyzed the problem and it seems the reason comes from p2-agent installation in RCP product.

An update-site is available to install Topcased on an Eclipse platform:
http://topcased-mm.gforge.enseeiht.fr/release/update-site3.5/

Be careful to install dependencies first, you can find it in the release note:
http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/download.php/2311/ReleaseNote3.0.0.pdf

We will provide a new Topcased release as soon as possible to fix this annoying problem with the software installer.

I already tried this. Unfortunately, I can’t find any possibility to add a new site (no add button or option). As a matter of fact, I found that there is a local site which must be deleted (otherwise there is an error in install new software).

I tried Eclipse 3.5 and there is the add button in “Install new software”. Is there an easy way to install Topcased over an Eclipse installation? I found that there are dependences which I must find on the net and install them.

Hello Dragos,

in eclipse open the eclipse preference window.

Expand the menu "Install/update" and go into the "Available Software Site". Here you can add new sites.

Normally, it should exist an “Add…” button in “Install new software…” menu but in this version of Topcased/Eclipse it doesn’t exist. Anyone has other solutions?

I would like to install the Papyrus UML plugin in Topcased 3.0.0 but I can’t find the option to add a new software site. Normaly it should be in « help->softwareUpdates->availableSoftware->AddSite » but I have only the options : « help->check for updates » and « help->install new software… » . How should I install new plugins in Topcased 3.0.0 ?
