Juste a precision about step 2 : when importing the testGendoc project,
check the "copy into workspace" checkbox so that your project be
physically in your workspace. If not, gendoc will not succeed in
selecting the model and generate propertly.

currently, gendoc lacks logs and error diagnostic. For custom
templates, it is not so easy to find the errors and as there are many
steps to generate te complete final document, there are several places
where those issue may happen.
Next release (3.1 - September 25th) is going to bring many improvments
in this area, in addition to the batch mode and some other cool
features (suprise).
Before this date, you can use the following plug-in and test project to
ensure that your configuration (hard + soft) is OK and that gendoc
engine works on it.
- take the .jar file and just put it in your "dropins" directory
(requires that you use the TOPCASED 3.0.1 release)
- Import (as an archive file) the testGendoc project into your
workspace and choose the appropriate template between UML, SysML or
SAM.
- Then just import the docx into a .gendoc model (as explained in
the tutorial) and configure the source (to reference the model you
chose).
- Last step is to choose the test template "hello XXX" and
generate. It should work.
- If OK, just change the test template and now choose "test
Display
Diagram". You will see a difference with TOPCASED opening all diagrams
to export the images. And you should see an image in your final
document if you selected a container element containing at least one
diagram ...

I am trying to experiment with the GenDoc tutorial
(TPC_2.5_GenDoc_tutorial.pdf) from the website and can't get anything
to be generated. Does the macro work with Topcased 3.0.0/1? Also does
the Document Generator Example (GenDocExample_TPC_2.5.zip) work with
3.0.0/1? I am following the tutorial up to step 4 the point where it
says click "Generate Document". The button has no effect and nothing
is generated. The template is validated.
