Hi Steve,
Although the OCL editor allow to create an OCL rule file by using a
metamodel path, the OCL checker works differently. So, to solve your
problem, you have to affect an URI to your family metamodel as it is
done in the tutorial and then generate at least the model code trough
EMF. Do not forget to report the URI change in your OCL rule file(s) or
create a new one based on URI.
Your case is clearly a non implemented behaviour. Do not hesitate to
open a feature request against this issue :

Hi,
I have been working through the "Addams Family " Tutorial.
I have created a "Family" metamodel and also created a family instance.
Then I have created an OCL Rule file using the wizard.
When I run the OCL Checker I cannot add the resource file (.ocl file) .
I can see the file I wish to add in the Checker but when I select
it, the file is not added to the "current selection" window.
I notice that this has been commented on before in earlier posts
however i cannot find a solution offered.
I am selecting the metamodel not by the URI but directly from the
workspace using the metamodel path.
The metamodel and the rule files were also created by using a
metamodel path and not by selecting a metamodel URI.
I wonder if this area may be where the problem lies.
Are there any more examples or tutorials that i could try?
Any help would be appreciated, I have spent a lot of time on this
problem with no success.
My operating system is Windows XP professional 5.1
