Hi all, according to bug [#3058] : http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3058&group_id=52&atid=109 now in TOPCASED UML & SysML editors, the choose dialog filters some results. I want to precise another time how it works to prevent users and particularly if you notice some elements missing in your selection dialogs.
_This will be explained too in the updated versions of tutorials :_In any choose dialog, the elements proposed are elements contained in the current model or in controlled packages.
The elements from additional resources displayed are : - /Elements linked to an “element import” element/ - /Elements contained in a package linked to a “package import” element/The complete list of elements is available if the property is filled through /Advanced Properties /section
To create- An element import, right click on a package, create child > element import and in advanced properties section fill the property “imported element” - A package import, right click on a package, create child > package import and in advanced properties section fill the property “imported package”
_ What it was possible in TOPCASED 3.2 and older and not possible anymore:_ import integer primitive type through import primitive menus-> and select string primitive type when i select a type for property in a class for example Now : you only can select integer primitive type if you want to select string primitive type you also have to import it.
_Note for profile diagram designers :_if you open a profile diagram created in TOPCASED 3.2 or older you could have no elements in your metaclass selection.
To prevent this :- at metaclass selection, use advanced property section for the element import
OR - create a package import in your profile referencing - for UML : UML 2.2 metamodel package - for SysML : UML 2.2 metamodel package and sysml packageNB : these packages are automatically imported in TOPCASED 3.3 at profile diagram creation
