Hi Peter,
if you have .uml/.umldi files it should work. I have just tested the
UML2 search with the "Use*" regular _expression_ and it found all my
"UseCase1, UseCase2.." from sample models in my workspace.
Concerning .sysml/.sysmldi files, it does not work for now as the
extension for SysML is missing. But since this afternoon we have two
committers on the Eclipse EMFSearch component and we should be able to
add the necessary stuff in this component and in TOPCASED so that the
SysML search become available and work for next release (3.4.0)

I have tried to perform on different sysml and uml models
multiple searches with various options enabled (Regex, case), and it
only works as expected (that is finding element names that I know that
are in the model) if I use the "File Search" tab, but not if use the
"UML2 Search" tab or "GenModel Search" tab. In other words the later 2
tabs do not find anything at all ever, no matter what name or element I
search for.
I can live with the File search but sometimes especially for
search and replace it would be more convenient to use the
editor/language specific search (e.g UML2)
Am I missing something?
