Hi,the xmi id is an id generated by EMF to be sure that an element has an unique id.
In EMF for a metamodel X, if in the genmodel (helping the user to generate api/edit/editor code) the user chooses xmi as target resource. A class XResource will be generated.
To use xmi ids the developer has to override the uuid method and returns true.
