You problem is strange, I just created a sample and i can access to external
resources.
Can you send us the model and the template ?
Did you set the property searchMetamodels to "true" ? ==> <context
model='${model}' importedBundles='topcased' searchMetamodels='true'/>
If no can you answer these questions :
How do you reference the additional resources ? (load resource ...) ?
Are you working with Controlled model ?
What is the context of your template ?

I have a sysml model where I import additional resources (a model profile) that
I use (as reference or as type of model items) in my model.
When I generate a document with GenDoc2 all external items (Primitive Types,
Profile application, etc.) are not available. (for example, the stereotype
applied is not present, the type of a property typed with an external Primitive
Type applied is null, etc.)
I reproduced this problem in Topcased 4.2.1/GenDoc 1.1.0, Topcased 4.3.0/GenDoc
1.1.0 and Topcased 4.3.0/GenDoc 1.3.0.
Where is the problem? Do I mistake in any step?
