Hello everyone, Here is a small reminder about the nightly build :
An update site is updated every night with the latest developments. Hence, the latest bug fixes and feature request implementations are easily available for all users. If you encounter a blocking bug, first check if it has already been raised on the GForge (http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/tracker/?group_id=52&atid=109). If so, check in the comments if a developper says he has fixed it on the trunk and that the fix will be available in the next release. The day after such a comment, the fix should already be available on the nightly build update site : http://topcased-mm.gforge.enseeiht.fr/nightlybuilds/ Hence, if you want to update your platform, go to the menu Help>Install New Software. Select the Topcased nighlty build update site if you have already added it, or click on the Add... button to add it ( Name : Topcased nighlty build update site, Location : http://topcased-mm.gforge.enseeiht.fr/nightlybuilds/ ) Choose the concerned feature you need to update. Note : other dependent features which also need to be updated should be automatically updated. If you encounter installation errors during this update, you may have to first remove the old feature before reinstalling the new feature. This may happen for features which have been heavily refactored for working also with Papyrus editors (e.g. : Requirements, Scripting). Do not hesitate to ask whether you have to do so in the corresponding bug or feature request before proceeding. To remove a feature : Select the menu Help>About Eclipse Platform; Click on the Installation details button, Select the feature and click on Uninstall. On the other hand, I want to remind you that the nighlty update site contains the latest developements, hence, it may not be as stable as an official release. If you are willing to keep a stable environment, you should better keep a stable relase and update you environment only if you encounter a really blocking bug which is fixed. We heavily recommend that you keep a non updated version of your Topcased Platform, as a backup copy. If you encounter new bugs with updates from the nightly build, check that all your features are up to date before posting a new bug and tell us you are working with the trunk (with the exact date) in the submitted bug.
