Still about UML generation from Java.
- constructors are not created in the UML model
- JDK classes are modelize as <data type> , it is not possible to do a call on
a data type ...
see ResourceBundle.jpg
- the signature and return value of the method getInstance of AppFactory are
not well managed in sequences diagram.
I use a Sync Call to modelize a call to getInstance, in the diagram sequence
the signature has a "null" which should not be here and I did not find a way
to use a reply call to set a variable from a call to getInstance
(something like myVar=AppFactory.getInstance("maClasse")
+ file AppFactory.java is the source file
+ AppFactory.jpg shows a part of the UMLmodel of AppFactory and a part of the
sequences diagram : there is no constructor and the opaque behavior of
getInstance has a paramter without name ...
Is there solutions to :
- to generate constructors in the UML model ?
AFAIK there is no specific element for constructors, you can create a method
named like the Class.
Another possibility is I think using the stereotype Create (applicable on
Operations) from the Standard profile (already present in Profiles Tab in
Package property view)
- to modelize JDK Classes as classes during a "UML from Java" action ?
I think you have taken a look at UML2Java code, the process is not really
configurable but it could be a great idea, can you open a Feature Request about
this point ?
- to generate return value in the UML model and to use reply call to set a
variable ?
What do you mean ? in UML2Java Action ? In editor ?
