Hi François, Using TOPCASED requirement you normally can import the ids. I see two problems. -your regular expression is not correct -If it is at the same line you cannot extract ID AND description.
To fix them
- try this regular expression:
(EC_ABC_...).*
- to get description you have to embed in your TOPCASED platform a new
plugin which will be available to extract the description when the id is
matched. I copy extract from a previous mail explaining how to do it, if you
have questions about how to create a plugin feel free to ask :
"No, It is a current limitation, doc2model (back end technology for importing
data currently only works using paragraphs visitor)
anyway to manage text you can use extension point from the technology to
intercept event creation, you can create a plugin subscribing to the extension
point using :
<extension
point="org.topcased.doc2model.parser.checker">
<checker
instance="MyChecker">
</checker>
</extension>
And referencing a class able to match your Text Regex, be careful the checker
will be called for each import so you need to work on the condition.
To retrieve the latest object created by the import tool and to create new Text
elements :
EObject eobject = process.getLatestCreatedElement();
if (eobject instanceof ttm.Requirement)
{
ttm.Requirement req = (ttm.Requirement) eobject;
Text createText = TtmFactory.eINSTANCE.createText();
createText.setValue(buffer.toString());
req.getTexts().add(createText);
}"

Objet : [Topcased-users] requirements' import
Hello everybody !
This is a requirement on one paragraph, of style 'ExigenceClient' in a word
.docx document:
EC_ABC_001 XXX product replacement
I wanted to import it in my topcased model:
'EC_ABC_001', as Requirement ID
and 'XXX product replacement' as text or exigence title.
Unfortunately
with regex 'EC_ABC_...', I get nothing as ID
with regex 'EC_ABC_...' and style 'ExigenceClient', idem
with style 'ExigenceClient', I get "EC_ABC_001XXX product replacement", without
tab (nor space) between 001 and XXX, as requirement ID
Does anybody know if what I want is possible, and if it is, how to do ?
We don't want to rewrite, restyle, or do anything of the kind on our 100s of
requirements in our docs. The aim is to use topcased to build the traceability
matrix.
Thanks for any help.
François
