Hello Gajendra,

in order to create (and apply a stereotype)
in Topcased 4.3, you need to perform the following actions:

1.
Create a new profile. You can either create this profile in your current
 model (Right-click->Create child->Packaged element->Profile)
or as a separate "model" (File->New->SysML model with
Topcased->From Template Model->Profile Template)
2. Go to your
new profile in the Outline and create a Profile Diagram
(Right-click->Add diagram->Profile Diagram)
3. Using the
palette, put a new stereotype and a metaclass in your profile diagram
4.
Create a connector of type "Extension" going from your stereotype to
the metaclass (arrow tip on the metaclass side)
5. Select a metaclass
in the properties of your new metaclass element according to the
element that
is going to be stereotyped by your new metaclass, e.g.
<<metaclass>> <<class>> Actor,
<<metaclass>> <<class>> Connector,
<<metaclass>> <<class>> Package
6.
Right-click on the Profile in the Outline and select "Define Profile"
7.
Right-click on your Model in the Outline and select "Apply Profile"

The
result of these steps will be that your newly defined stereotype will
be available in your model for the elements that you specify in your
metaclass. You can, of course, create more than one "Extends" connection
 from your stereotype.

If you change your profile, you can "Apply
Profile" again to make these changes visible in your model. Beware: if
you unapply the profile, all usage of your profile stereotypes will be
lost from your model!

Regarding showing parts in a
Block Definition Diagram (I suppose this is what you want to achieve),
you can drag
and drop the parts/properties that you want to show from the Outline to
your block in the diagram. I know of no possibility to automatically
show the parts in the block. This of couse does not mean that there is
no such possibility. If somebody knows of such a feature, I would be
interested to know!

If you find an answer to your other
questions, please be so kind to post them to the forum!

Best
 regards
Rodrigo

Subject: [Topcased-users] help on SysML usage

Hello All,

I’m using SysML in Topcased to do requirements and block diagrams for one of my
projects and I have a few questions.

        1. I would like to know how to use the custom stereotypes feature of
Topcased. I was successful in creating a custom stereotype but I don’t see any
way to use it on the modeled requirements/blocks. Can somebody provide guidance
on this feature’s usage?
        2. The requirement block only shows Requirement Text and the Id. I
would like to show other attributes like: Allocated to, Verification method,
Maturity etc.
        3. How can I make the internal parts list visible in a block diagram?
        4. How can I export the requirements from the models in an excel file.
I don't want to provide an input file because I don't have one. Similarly the
complete traceability matrix from Use Case -> Requirements -> Allocation to
Blocks etc.
        5. As of now the html export makes the view in 3 windows on a page. Can
I export the complete model in a single HTML file with links to right sections
and inline documentation just below or above the diagrams?

Thanks for the response(s).

Regards,
Gajendra Kashyap
