Hi, TOPCASED simulation/model animation toolset relies on model interpretation. The metamodel is extended in order to represent the dynamic semantics related information (states of the model, and events driving the simulation). The current implementation of the dynamic semantics interpreter relies on a simple Discrete Event System model of computation. An execution function must be provided for each kind of event. This function is currently written in SmartQVT, but could be written in Kermeta or Java. You should have a look at the TOPCASED simulation sources in order to have more details.
