OK I understand the point.. The important thing is not the perspective (which is a way of displaying stuffs in eclipse) but the kind of model you are editing : --> either Topcased Model (the one you associate with Topcased modeling perspective) --> either Papyrus model (the one associated with UML/SysML perspective)
To be sure of the kind of model your are editing : Topcased models use 2 files : .uml/ .umldi or .sysml/ .sysmldi Papyrus models use 3 files : .uml, .di and .notation Just open an explorer in your workspace to get sure The topcased uml/sysml editors are no longer maintained, you should use Papyrus editor instead. And concerning diagram frames, please see if there is not already a bug on papyrus bugzilla. It look kind of bad when there is nothing to show in these compartments. I believe there is a filter function in Papyrus that serves this purpose, but in the Topcased modeling perspective there is no such possibility?
