#1923: Allow non-administrative users who know the HashedControlPassword to control tor client. ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: aa138346 | Type: enhancement Status: closed | Priority: normal Milestone: Tor: unspecified | Component: Tor Client Version: | Resolution: user disappeared Keywords: | Parent: Points: | Actualpoints: ------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
Comment(by aa138346): Hello, sorry for not responding earlier. Yes, "from the command line" was what I was looking for. The reason I was looking for this functionality was because I wanted other non-privileged users/services (who can't restart and/or kill -HUP <pid>) to be able to restart/reload specific tor processes. I looked into the tor-ctrl.sh script, and it appears to provide the functionality. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/1923#comment:6> Tor Bug Tracker & Wiki <https://trac.torproject.org/> The Tor Project: anonymity online _______________________________________________ tor-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-bugs
