#20536: Should tor keep on retrying, even if it has reached the failure limit? ------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: teor | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Medium | Milestone: Tor: 0.2.9.x-final Component: Core Tor/Tor | Version: Severity: Normal | Keywords: regression Actual Points: | Parent ID: #20499 Points: 1 | Reviewer: Sponsor: | ------------------------------+-------------------------------- In #20499, when relays reach the download failure limit, they stop downloading consensuses.
I think this behaviour is desirable for relays that will never get a good consensus (if they are too old, for example). But for relays that have a temporary issue, it is really unhelpful. Perhaps tor should retry every few days no matter what? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/20536> Tor Bug Tracker & Wiki <https://trac.torproject.org/> The Tor Project: anonymity online _______________________________________________ tor-bugs mailing list tor-bugs@lists.torproject.org https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-bugs
