Comment:
Please rename 'tracing' to 'event tracing' everywhere. Otherwise,
somebody will see the word "tracing" and freak out.
(I'm sure somebody will see the word "tracing" and freak out anyway, but
let's at least give them a better chance to realize that it's silly to
complain about debugging code.)
