Comment (by dcf): Replying to [comment:33 dcf]: > I suppose that the corresponding patches for client and proxy-go will also have the same flaw? Perhaps this is the cause of the short delays that cypherpunks saw in comment:26: the proxy-go instances are randomly crashing and being restarted. I'll add some logging to them and see if that's the case. It does appear to be the case that proxy-go is crashing and being restarted. One of the instances was automatically restarted 6 times since I started it manually 30 minutes ago. {{{ 2018/03/14 02:34:27 starting ... 2018/03/14 02:34:53 starting ... 2018/03/14 02:37:54 starting ... 2018/03/14 02:39:54 starting ... 2018/03/14 02:40:55 starting ... 2018/03/14 02:41:55 starting ... 2018/03/14 03:02:09 starting }}} I'll let it run overnight, and tomorrow I plan to try an analogous patch to the one in comment:32. I've also re-started the memory and file descriptor monitors, in case the memory leak was only being masked by frequent restarts. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/21312#comment:34> Tor Bug Tracker & Wiki <https://trac.torproject.org/> The Tor Project: anonymity online
