Ok, I just hit this on moria1 again (after it suffered a sad power loss
mid thought). I started moria1 three times and it died quickly each time.
Then I did a git pull to a later version that has this patch, and
restarted, and it did not die.
I'm calling that a good sign that this bug is fixed.
