In the https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorInChroot.
The init script for tor in archlinux used "add_daemon tor/rm_daemon tor"
to register a daemon in archlinux.
It should be add_daemon tor-chroot/rm_daemon tor-chroot" for "rc.d list"
used the init script's filename to check if daemon is started.
