Does Orbot work for you if you don't use an outbound proxy but bridges
instead (and I assume you did mentioned 8.8.8.8:1080 just as an example
address and not the actual one you entered, right?)? Or are you in, say, a
corporate environment that allows traffic only through a central proxy
first?
