#34257: Analyze unusual distribution of time to extend to first hop in circuit -------------------------------+-------------------------------- Reporter: karsten | Owner: metrics-team Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Medium | Milestone: Component: Metrics/Onionperf | Version: Severity: Normal | Resolution: Keywords: | Actual Points: Parent ID: | Points: Reviewer: | Sponsor: Sponsor59-must -------------------------------+--------------------------------
Comment (by karsten): Not an answer to the questions, but some additional information: The experimental Hong Kong instance only measures onion service, because I didn't want to mess with firewalls. You might need to take that into account by comparing the numbers to onion service results from the other instances. I can't say whether that makes a difference. Additionally, the experimental instance only downloads 5 MiB files. That very likely doesn't matter here, but it might turn out to be useful if we compare fb2lb (first byte to last byte) of these few days to the two weeks of existing measurements from the other instances. Bug in OnionPerf? What do you mean, eh? ;) (Thanks for digging into this!) -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/34257#comment:8> Tor Bug Tracker & Wiki <https://trac.torproject.org/> The Tor Project: anonymity online
