I think we should stay away from projects which are no longer maintained.
We should also avoid paid solutions, such as Askbot and Shapado, when
possible. I have sent an email to Stack Exchange to ask how we can go
about setting up ask.tpo and get that up and running, who owns the data,
how we moderate it, and so on.
