#8054: remove cli code from compass?

Now that we have a web frontend, I don't think anyone uses the cli at all.
The cli printing code is a major pain if we want to extend compass since
the printing code is a mess.
I suggest we entirely drop the cli code, if it isn't going to bother
anyone.
