Since you are on Mint, can you start Thunderbird from the terminal and
paste the output? (removing sensitive information, if any.)
I doubt that this is a TorBirdy issue since we are not doing much at
startup but we should check this nevertheless. Can you try this with a
clean profile (!`thunderbird -p`)?
