Hi everyone, I am currently uploading the next ToriOS ISO. I will relink it and everyone can zsync to get the new version. So.. here is the issue.... I have * not* updated the installed OS yet. I am currently focused on getting everything into OBI that we need.
So, here is the quick run down of the new features of OBI: After the OS is installed: OBI looks at the installed OS and deletes all the preinstalled users (i.e. torios in our case) Then, the user is prompted with a nice prompt (thanks to Nio) that asks for the user's name. Then it drops back into terminal mode to ask for the password, Name, etc... After this, tzselect runs (the terminal program for selecting the timezone). This is then set as the system wide timezone, and the new user's timezone. The last major piece of this puzzle would be to configure the keyboard... this is NOT done. I have an idea, but I will be testing it out before trying to implement it. There also may be a way to have a nicer timezone selection... but I am pleased that there is one at this point. @Nio, As a quick question, does Zenity HTML allow exporting variables based on clicking a certain part of an image map? We could make a timezone map, and export the timezone based on what portion of the map they click. Or even using svgs... we might be able to use JavaScript inside an SVG as well to export a variable... but I don't know what kind of HTML capabilities there are in Zenity (as you know it is not documented) -- Regards -Israel ToriOS Team -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~torios-dev Post to : torios-dev@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~torios-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
