Hi everyone, Just a quick update. So far I have converted most scripts to use dialog-chooser (as well as keeping the original code, just because it worked) I have also successfully tested the torios-battery indicator (using YAD) and it works. There is even a way to suspend on lid close, which also works. The volume indicator also works well. This basically removes quite a bit of extra space, and gives us more control over the Application. That said, I think I can create a very simple tray icon program from my batteri indicator and bring these quick scripts to Debian (without needing yad). I like yad, as it uses themed icons (without needing paths) as, the GTK API does this. zenity, however, does not have this ability, nor the tray icon ability like yad. It should be possible to make these programs work fine with a simple tray icon program/or yad. Then we can reduce the size of ToriOS much further and possibly, reduce the need for the extreme compression. Or, perhaps, add more functionality (i.e. adding dunst for notifications, or other minimal useful programs).
Nio and I are working on a small issue in OBI that I recently discovered in my testing. -- Regards -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~torios-dev Post to : torios-dev@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~torios-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
