Hi Just wondered if it would be possible to turn off the audible beep by default. The reason for this is it seems quite loud (which could be my volume control turned up). It also seems to trigger not only when I press backpsace at the terminal prompt, but at other times too, e.g when pressing tab to complete a command and this fails for what ever reason usually not enough characters for it to do this.
Just a thought, from a user experience viewpoint it may be better to have the bell off . I can add something to the manual to turn it on.
