I'd prefer to see more time being spent on creating plugin-pointers (eg. maven plugin:install maven-torque-plugin goes and gets it) - which I think will become feasible when all POMs are the repository.

Doesn't it make more sense to have the plugin part of Torque or the generator project?
Won't the plugin be effected when torque changes more than effected when maven changes?
Any objects to moving the torque plugin into Maven?

Sure, if anyone has any plugins we'll just put them in because when we move elsewhere, hopefully maven.apache.org, we'll set up a repository for plugins.
