I have just looked at the transaction handling in Torque and it seems a bit unclean and unflexible to me.
I have created a jira issue https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TORQUE-195 which proposes to remove the unclean code ba removing autocommit handling from Torque code as it is typically handled by the connection pool. Then, I have alsao created another issue https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TORQUE-196 which proposes to make transaction management pluggable Any objections to implementing these ?
