Hi Jeffery,

To my knowledge for Torque there is no much activity this quarter, with only
minor code fixes.

We might have to still think about, what the we want to do for an upcoming
major release.

Upgrades of databases? More fine tuned integration of certain databases?
We might focus on one database (mysql/mariadb) reflecting the project community
preferences.

Upgrade of Java to Java 21 or later?

Do we still want to change from SVN to GIT?

ASF build system support of GIT migration is no more improved and generically
as a couple of years before, but nevertheless it includes some effort from us,
the project maintainers ..

Do we have ideas to improve the maven build system? Last issues could be
resolved, as we rely on the xm forl format of certain site artefacts, but with
the bugfix for xdoc table conversion we are better prepared for changes.

I checked in Janaury the security announcement and think torque site is already
correct.

Best regards,

Georg Kallidis

Betreff: Updates for our April board report?

Hi all,

This is my first time taking on the reporting role that Bryan has handled for
so long—thanks, Bryan!

It’s time to prepare our April report to the board.

Could you please send me any updates from the past quarter (Jan–Mar) that you’d
like included? In particular, I’m looking for:

  *    releases or planned release

  *  notable development activity

  * new committers or PMC members

  *  community discussions or decisions

  * any issues where help from Infra or the ASF might be needed

The report is due April 8, so if possible, please share updates over the next
week.

Thanks,
Jeffery Painter
