Hi Thomas, +1 support for the migration from SVN (many thanks to INFRA, no complains at all ๐) to GIT!
I might already share some thoughts .. How do we want to do it? Splitting in separate repos might be the best choice or I could think of to split at least the torque-test module, as it consumes just the project modules (and we have currently sub folder path resolving issues in CI / Jenkins, see below). What do you suggest (if you thought about it already)? Nevertheless I might think I want to let you do it like you want to think is the best, to allow for a true enablement for the person, which is in charge making the effort ๐ That is, should we think more about the hierarchy as well? I am in the process to implement TORQUE-376 to add a more elaborated module, how to generate the java and sql ORM, which might become another repo or just like now a submodule? Another more in-detail question would be to enable issues and how to start with ASF integrations, PR .. and site-Deployment will be handled a bit differently as well AFAIK. Concerning point of time of migration: I think that svn and git is synced for some time and only unsynced, if we inform INFRA to do so. If this is the case (to be confirmed), you might start at any time soon, as your time schedule allows it. Near future considerations: The next step for a release would be certainly to upgrade version from 7.x to 8.0, as some major breakings are in Torque-375 / Support for java.time API and with the EOL of Derby. Fixing of the Jenkins builds has to be done as well .. This might be postponed until GIT is established as the new repository backend for Db Torque. Hi folks, As activity seems to pick up recently, I thought that it might be useful to migrate Torque to Git eventually. Iโd volunteer to do that, however, I just want to make sure that I donโt interfere with the activities of you guys. Would you just give me a green light when you are ready?
