Are you just interested in using the OM (torque)? Or making a webapp? If
just OM you'll need torque and ant.

Subject: help me get started, please

Hi,

GOALS:
  - install torque
  - bend it to my will (succesfully model my business objects/logic)

BACKGROUND:
I have done a good bit with Perl and Object->RDBMS mechanisms. I have
read through the documentation at http://db.apache.org/torque/... and
I'm very excited to play with torque! :-)

PROBLEM:
I am new to both java and torque.

QUESTION:
What packages do I need to install to achieve my goals? I don't need
any fancy web interfaces for now... I just want to play with the
Object->RDBMS stuff.

I saw a post to this list where someone described their torque test
platform. Which of these do I need? In what order do I install them?
I'm running linux on my test server.
 > Torque 3.0
 > Turbine 2.2
 > TDK 2.2_01
 > PostgreSQL 7.3.2
 > Ant 1.5.1
 > Maven 1.0-beta-8
 > Java 1.4.1_01

Thanks for your help,
Phil R Lawrence
