Is there still a need for sending patches as text files? I wrote a patch for the patchbomb extension. But the wiki page about patches has changed recently. Looks like I were too late. Would it be more helpful to do other changes to patchbomb?

It seemd to be the best format for Gmail users. But the wiki page has changed recently. It looks like if I were too late. If there is any need for this patch, I will resend it with a better help message. Anybody?
