Summary: display in local time

Initial Comment:
Hi.

I would like to have a discussion on display local time
in tortoisehg.

Currrently, tortoisehg display the time in gmtime.
I would like it to be displayed in local time since
most Windows SCM such as Perforce, PVCS display in local time.

How does tortoisehg developers interpret tortoisehg time? Is there already a
way to convert to local time?

Please note that hg log shows in local time.

Regards.
Halim

I meant hg log _is_ showing localtime on my system also, but somehow hg
commit doesn't capture the timezone info on my Windows system.

Mmm. I don't really get the question. Do you mean that hg log is not
showing localtime in your system?

IIRC, I install Mercurial first followed by TortoiseHg.

Regards.

I just discovered the it's changesets committed by me on Windows that
somehow don't carry the timezone information. And 'hg log' is indeed
showing localtime. Any idea what's wrong with my Windows settings?

I'm okay with displaying the date in localtime by default, but we should
append 'UTC' to the date when displayed in gmtime.

So. By default it will be in localtime. Any objections fellow tortoisehg
developers?

Message:
We've discussed this in the past. This should be made into a configurable
option in thgconfig, that sets something like:

[tortoisehg]
localtime = True

It would be a small change, timezone conversion only happens in a few
places. It's just slipped through the cracks.
