Do you mean to support shelve even when not in the commit dialog?

I was thinking the log viewer, since that is often used to change the  
parent of the working directory.
In fact, though I understand the underlying philosophy, I still find  
it very weird that I can start a merge in the log viewer, but then I  
have to switch to the commit window to finish it. I had hoped the GSoC  
Unification work would have addressed that, but I don't remember.

I only mention this because in my group I've got a lot of grumbling  
about the lack of shelve support in a the GUIs, and since the log  
viewer does "checkout" (i.e. 'update' on the command line) and thus  
has to support '-C', it is easy to lose changes. So I am glad that  
shelve support is getting some attention too.

BTW: I suppose I might be the last one to figure this out, but I've  
just recently realized that if I move the .hg/shelve file, I can have  
multiple shelved changes at once, but I just have to manage them  
manually.
