More progress on the forest installer today.
I've updated TortoiseHg to use the new style versioning that Mercurial uses,
then changed the build script to take full advantage of that system. The
script runs 'python setup.py --version' in both hg-stable and tortoisehg
repositories, forcing them to regenerate their __version__.py
After doing the "uber-merge" and applying the patch queue, those two files
are copied into place in the uber repo. We thus get proper versions (with
tags, when appropriate) for both tools.
Speaking of RC releases, I have a preview installer for 0.7 that is built
with the new forest method and contains the new shelve/record
functionality. If someone can suggest an upload spot for it, I can make it
available. The more people who try out the new features and report bugs the
better.
