Ok, I am confused. I would think a fork would be the last thing wanted given the fierce pace of changes. Since adding in _() calls is nearly mechanical, and should not change the fact that the code is English only now anyways... wouldn't it make more sense to fold _()-only changesets in rapidly? I could see submitting conversions based on small changes made opportunisticly...
