I wonder what role hgext.convert has to play here.

Can you fire up tracelog (python trace collector, installed with
TortoiseHg) and see what error messages you are getting with hgext.convert
enabled?

BTW, you'll need 0.4rc3 or rc4. Tracelog in 0.4rc2 is broken.

the same happend to me under XP Sp3.

It also crashes Explorer via libapr.dll as soon as i select a hg
repository folder.

I had recently created an %HOME\.hgrc enabling the convert-extension:

[extensions]
hgext.convert=

When commenting out the line as #hgext.convert= explorer stops to crash.

the same happend to me under XP Sp2.

It crashes Explorer as soon as i select a hg repository folder.
-> Null pointer Exception in module libapr.dll _apr_pool_create...@16
+0x3c

Im not sure if that causes the issue but Tortoisehg was working well until
i
installed ActivePython2.5.
Deinstall ActivePython, deinstall tortoisehg and reinstall doesnt help :(

Also tracelog.exe crashes: File "tracelog.py", line 16, in <module>
ImportError: No module named hglib

I experienced crashes under Windows Vista Business (32-bit) using 0.4 RC1
when doing the following:

- navigating into a repository folder using Windows Explorer
- running hg convert on a Subversion repository crashed immediately after
the HG repo was created

The crashes appeared to occur in native code (the option to debug using a
debugger appeared) - I could reinstall to provide more details, but I
couldn't find any interesting traces using the Python Trace tool included
in the install.

Unfortunately I don't currently have any access to a Vista system. It'd be
nice if you can help out on this.
