New issue 85: Typos, etc. in userconfig help text (description at the bottom of the window) (090310 daily build) http://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/stable/issue/85/typos-etc-in-userconfig-help-text-description-at-the-bottom-of-the-window-090310-daily
Doug Philips / dgou on Wed, 11 Mar 2009 18:35:44 +0100: Description: Various, in the userconfig window: TortoiseHG tab, CLI editor: Suggest that the CLI in the descriptive text be expanded to command line interface. Folks using the GUI might not know that term. TortoiseHG tab, Bottom Diffs: Suggest that "Default: False" be expanded to say: "Default: False (show the diffs to the right of the file list)" Commit tab, External Commit Tool: "Qct must be installed separately." seems to imply that it must be installed. Suggest: "Optional qct option requires Qct to be installed (it is no longer bundled with TortoiseHG)." Odd that the option in the drop down box is 'qct' but the description text says Qct... Changelog tab, Long Summary: Description text is confusing, does True mean to concatenate, or does False (the default)? Maybe change the label to "Condense Long Summary" or something? Not sure since I don't know from the GUI what to expect here. Proxy tab, no: Wow, this label just seems way too terse. Proxy tab, passwd: Can we spare two more characters and make this password instead? Maybe even "Proxy server password"? Email tab, Local Hostname: "MTA" seems just a bit obscure when it is not used in the descriptions for the other fields. Diff tab, Git Format: Given the explanations of options in other tab's descriptions, this one's description seems painfully unhelpful. Also fails to mention the default. Actually, I haven't paid close attention to make sure all the boolean fields list the default... Diff tab, No Dates: "Do no include dates in diff headers." no -> not? Also, maybe say what dates will not be included? I am also assuming that the repoconfig dialog is using all the same labels and decriptive text. If not let me know and I'll scan those too.
