It is definitely a GTK bug, we are definitely not doing anything wrong or even anything unusual. I've proven that the problem has nothing to do with the number of pixmap renderers or the order they are packed, or the packing configuration. It has nothing to do with the logic of setting their visibility. And I've exhausted all possible recourses within the hook logic to signal that, "Hey look, the row is special, maybe you should take a second look at it." It's borked, and it's been borked for more than a year. I remember now stumbling on this over a year ago when I first wrote the log tool and then forgetting about it. I noticed TK removed the use of the mark pixmap for doing diffs (was it also broken this way), so the only two left are heads and parents. I suspect heads only works right because the tip is always the first revision shown and falls within the 'safe' range. I'm really tempted to fix this by using text attribute(s) to signal the working copy parent(s). I just did a quick test and this seems to work perfectly and avoids the whole 'visibility' bug -- This is an issue notification from bitbucket.org.
