Category: dialogs Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tobias Cohen (tobiascohen) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Qct: most recent overwrite entered message without warning Initial Comment: In the commit dialog box, selecting any option from the "Most Recent" list under commit message causes any data currently entered in the commit message box to be replaced completely with no option to recover it. It's easy to accidentally select an option from this box by a misclick, or by rotating the scroll wheel on your mouse while the pointer is over this box. With large commits, this can very easily result in a considerable amount of data being erased. One possible solution for this would be to display a warning dialog before replacing a non-empty commit message with a "Most Recent" message, asking the user to confirm that they wish to replace data. This warning dialog should probably not be display if the data being replaced exactly matches an item already in the most recent list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2009-03-18 18:55 Message: This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. BTW, the commit dialog you are referring to is Qct. I will relay the bug report to the Qct team later. If you want, you may try out TortoiseHg's internal commit tool, which doesn't have this problem. See TortoiseHg's FAQ on how to enable the internal commit tool/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=968354&aid=2491520&group_id=199155 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
