New issue 307: Cursor can disappear from commit message box

Description:
The text box for messages in the commit dialog has some problems with focus.
If I click inside the (empty) text box, to enter a new message, nothing happens
to visually indicate that the text box now has focus. It would be nice if a
cursor would appear, to let me know that I can start typing a message. The
dialog has no indication at all of whether the empty text box has focus or
(say) the file list.

Now when I start typing a new message, the text - and the cursor - always
appears after the *second* letter. The cursor now remains visible while typing,
until I press enter to get a new line. Then the cursor disappears again! This
would normally indicate that the text box has lost focus, but it has not. When
I continue typing the cursor re-appears, and so on.

Furthermore, if the cursor is at the beginning of the second line in the text
box, and I press 'left', the cursor also disappears. If I then type a letter,
the letter - and the cursor - appears on a new line, not on the previous line
as expected.

Actually I'm not sure how much of the above is a bug or intended behaviour, but
IMHO it's quite annoying. BTW, I'm using Windows XP.
