The experiment with the vcredist packages did not go so well, and I
have decided to take an alternate route for the pending 0.8 release.
I'm going to stick with mingw32 for building the C extensions for
Mercurial, as we've done for every TortoiseHg release thus far. I
will use VisualStudio 2005 SP1 to build the x86 and x64 shell
extensions as planned (this is how they've been built since we started
to support x64 a week or so ago). However instead of including the
vcredist packages in our installer, I've decided to simply statically
link the shell extension DLLs instead. I think this adds the minimum
number of variables from the 0.7 release and doesn't bloat the
installer any more than necessary.

Except for potential translation improvements, I expect tonight's
nightly build to be essentially 0.8. So please let me know if you
have any problems with it.

PS: If you installed the 090628 nightly, it most likely left
vcredist_*.exe packages in your install directory. Feel free to
delete them.
